Our Providers
You may recognize our two female providers at Northern Colorado Women’s Wellness: Cindy Dean and Carolyn Bottone-Post.
Cindy and Carolyn previously worked with the team at A Woman’s Healing Center. They are very knowledgeable about women’s health and incredibly passionate when it comes to women’s wellness.
Cindy Dean, MSN, CNM

Cindy Dean is a Certified Nurse Midwife who’s been in practice in Northern Colorado for more than 25 years. She greatly enjoys taking care of women of all ages, including their daughters, granddaughters, and friends using her compassionate heart and impressive training.
Cindy holds a Master of Science Nursing degree with a Nurse-Midwifery Specialization from the University of Colorado Health Science Center. She earned her Bachelor of Science Nursing degree from Oakland University in Rochester, Minn. Outside of work, Cindy enjoys spending time with her husband and two young adult sons. She also relishes the great outdoors, lake activities, and playing women’s hockey.
Carolyn Bottone-Post, DNP, CNM

Carolyn Bottone-Post is a Certified Nurse-Midwife with four decades of clinical experience and a passion for teaching student nurses. After 10 years as a Registered Nurse in med-surg, ICU and L&D, she received her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987 and practiced full scope midwifery for 20 years; later providing ambulatory midwifery and women’s healthcare while pursuing a career in academia.
Carolyn earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Regis University in 2016 in the APRN track, and now teaches obstetrics and women’s health for baccalaureate and family nurse practitioner students at the University of Northern Colorado as a full-time assistant professor. When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, three children, and five grandchildren.
Our Services
We are no longer performing Obstetrics or Aesthetics services that were previously offered at A Woman’s Healing Center. Instead, Northern Colorado Women’s Wellness is focused on gynecological care, including routine well-woman visits, birth control, and certain in-office GYN procedures.
Routine Women’s Healthcare
At Northern Colorado Women’s Wellness, we place great emphasis on “Well Woman Care.” This is part of your annual, preventive exam and can be thought of as a check-in with your doctor to help you focus on preventive health choices, as well as what screening tests are recommended for your particular life situation.
Annual Exams
An annual well-woman exam, including a pap smear and pelvic exam, is recommended by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) for patients starting at age 21. Annual well-woman care at Northern Colorado Women’s Wellness includes a physical exam that evaluates the thyroid, heart, lungs, breasts, abdomen, back, general neurological, skin, and lymph systems, and pelvic area.
Contraception and Birth Control
Many women visit Northern Colorado Women’s Wellness to learn more about their contraceptive options. Our staff of female providers are proud to support women in their family planning choices and strive to provide the best advice to each patient based on her medical history and personal needs.
Sexual Dysfunction Assessment and Treatment
Sexual dysfunction is a common problem in women in all stages of life. At Northern Colorado Women’s Wellness, our evaluation begins with a careful history and physical examination. We strive to fully discuss your concerns and provide qualified medical advice to address them.
Identification and Treatment of Gynecologic Conditions
Our providers always listen to patients empathetically and weigh their concerns and feedback with respect. If something feels “off” or if you have a recurring problem, our expert team of female doctors can help you identify the cause and get things under control. Don’t suffer in silence! Northern Colorado Women’s Wellness was found by women for women, and we’re here to help you feel comfortable and beautiful in your body.
In-Office GYN Procedures
At Northern Colorado Women’s Wellness, we offer several in-office medical procedures that are designed to save you time and money without sacrificing high-quality medical care.
